Our #SwipeItForGood Partner of the month for October is the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association
Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association, established in 1935, serves the Kanawha-Charleston area with their spay/neuter clinic needs, disaster relief efforts in the Care-a-van, a Pet Food Bank, and finding forever homes for all animals in their care. KCHA has been a life-saving shelter since 2013 and provides care and resources to over 5,000 animals in need every year.
To promote adoptions, the importance of spay/neuter, and education of the community, KCHA hosts events throughout the year.
“I personally love the Kanawha County Library Book Festival. We get to be in the kids section. It’s a huge learning opportunity for kids, and it’s pure fun!” said Sarah Tolley, KCHA Community Engagement.
All October, Element will celebrate our #SwipeItForGood partner Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association through adoption support efforts.
Here’s what we have planned with KCHA:
Adopt With Element Day
We’re partnering with KCHA to host an adoption event in the parking lot of Element’s South Charleston branch on October 16th between 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Come see the KCHA Care-a-van and all of their pets available for adoption. We’ll be taking extra measures to make sure this event is COVID safe.
Adopt Me With Element: $50 KCHA Adoption Rebate
Element is giving a $50.00 adoption rebate* to the first 5 members who adopt with KCHA in October.
While KCHA is always looking for forever families and fosters, there are many ways you can help support their efforts.
